Biography

David Kaye has gained local and national fame performing magic as the clown character Silly Billy. In New York, where he performs more than 300 shows each year, he has been recognized as New York’s top children’s entertainer by five New York publications. In addition, he received a six-page profile in the prestigious New Yorker.

His television credits include the magic television show Celebracadabra, as well as appearances on Late Show with David Letterman, and multiple appearances on Comedy Central and MTV.

David is the only children’s magician to be featured on the covers of MAGIC, Genii, and M.U.M. From 2000-2008 David wrote a monthly column in MAGIC called Turn It Around, about performing children’s magic. He is currently a columnist for the DVD magic magazine Reel Magic and a regular contributor to The Magic Newswire.

David is the author of the critically acclaimed book and DVD Seriously Silly, How to Entertain Children with Magic and Comedy. He has also created many products for the professional children’s magician.


He lectures for magicians and performs magic for children all over the world. He is the first children’s magician to be asked to speak at EMC.
